Are pets allowed? You bet!!!

One of the most frequently asked questions I hear when talking to people about planning a photo session is: "Are pets allowed?" My answer to that is almost always "You bet!"

Milo and Otis are a part of your family and so they absolutely belong in your new family portrait! Pets are allowed at most of the locations where I frequently hold photo sessions, including in my studio. Depending on the location you choose, and what kind of pet you have, we might need to keep them on a leash, but we can find all sorts of ways to magically make that leash disappear in the photos (thank you Photoshop).

The biggest things to consider when deciding whether to bring your pet or not is how comfortable will they be, and how much management will they need. For example, do we need to have an extra person around to take care of them when we're working on shots of your family without the pet. Do we need to bring treats along to keep them happily cooperating?*

If you've ever questioned if it's a good idea to include your pet in your family portrait, maybe the adorable photos below will show you why you should give it a try!

*I also sometimes recommend this for kids and parents too!
