I am passionate about dance photography and have extensive experience in showing off all the angles, dance techniques, curves and planes of a dancer’s body in motion, whether you are a professional ballet, professional contemporary, pre-professional, high school or student dancer.

I am a professional dance photographer to individual dancers, dance schools, dance companies, and professional dancers throughout the greater Philadelphia region.
Location & Wardrobe Planning
For the individual dancer, you can choose to have a studio session in my photo studio where we will use precise lighting and a neutral backdrop to highlight just you and your craft. Or you can choose to hold your session outside on location, incorporating nature and the architecture around you. There are lots of possible locations in the greater Philadelphia area. I am also available to travel to dance studios for photo sessions for your company or school.
When you are ready to book your session, contact me and we will start with a consultation to plan the details. We’ll talk about the movements and styles you have in mind and the possibilities for your hair, makeup, and wardrobe. We'll consider your budget and talk about the products and art that will be best for you.
Dance Session
Duration: 1 - 3 hours
We’ll walk through the specific movements that you want to capture and talk about your hair, makeup, and wardrobe options. We'll make arrangements to hold the session at my photo studio or at your dance studio and discuss ideas and details about the wardrobe and what to wear for a dance photoshoot.
During the session, it will be my job to provide an atmosphere that allows your mastery of movement to be on display. Depending on your needs, we’ll plan to spend between 1 to 3 hours taking photos. We’ll work on each photo, taking our time to find your best lines and the best lighting and camera angles to show them off. Together, we will review the portraits at the end of your session for you to choose your favorite images and products to order.
Pricing & Packages
For portrait sessions, all photographic prints, wall art, and albums, are purchased a la carte, in addition to a session fee. All purchased products include the matching high resolution digital file for your safe keeping and use. You choose what you’d like to purchase after you see the proofs from your session. We can discuss your budget and the pricing of products and art in which you are interested. Dance photography session fees start at $595 and include a $390 credit to apply to your portrait order.
For audition sessions the session fee starts at $295 and includes digital files of one headshot and 2 dance poses in a neutral room with basic background retouching. Please visit my auditions page for more information.
If you have a group of friends, a company or school and you’d like photos for everyone, please just let me know and we’ll create a session and work out pricing that suits exactly your needs for captivating dance photography.
